Limited edition Ashes painting

The Ashes Contest, 1882, Rupertswood by Philip Gray 2008 was unveiled by Sir Rupert Clark at the Gatehouse in 2008. The painting is a whimsical depiction of the famous game between the Australians (a team consisting of few of the famous Australian team who had defeated the English at the Oval and some of the staff of the mansion) who played and lost to the touring English team.

A print of the original is the ideal gift for anyone interested in cricket or Australian history. It makes a great talking point for any home or office and will help keep the history of the Ashes and Sunbury alive.

The work was fully researched by the artist and the prints are an accurate reproduction of the original painting at a slightly reduced size. They are printed on acid free card with light resistant pigments, and were made under the guidance of the artist. They were printed entirely in Australia.

The artist has signed and numbered 120 of the prints.
